You don't negotiate too often, do you?

it would be a good idea to get new gaskets. They cost like $5. I didn't and as a result I have a slight exhaust leak. booo. will fix soon.
as for your other question...why you should make an offer instead of ask. Because that's not how things work. The guy is not gonna lowball himself. He put a price up there and said pretty firm. That means..it's in your court. Take the price or make an offer. It's not his responsibility to beat his own price.
On top of that, his asking price is low as it is. It's a good deal. It's a $700 exhaust system new and his is in great shape.

I've made an offer and the sale is pending.
However, I have a question for OneManArmy. I'm aware you clearly know quite a bit about this exhaust seeing as you have one. I was curious as to whether you had this mounted on a sedan or a wagon. I currently have an 04 wagon, and am running cats. Basically, I just want to make sure this exhaust doesnt drone on and on when I'm cruising on the freeway. Under full throtle I'm not to particular, but normal driving loads I am hoping the sound is not excessive. I also have heard that wagon owners have to be carefull because the trunk is open and thus more noise is prone to enter the cabin.
So, after research and listening to clips, I was hoping you could maybe just give any other details you may have regarding driving levels etc. Thanks for all your help.

I have it on an 04 wagon.
If you want to check it out and you're able to...come out to UCKK tonight. Look for the white 04 wagon. I'm a white dude and will have on a CBGB shirt or a black zip up hoodie and a hat. My cars got bronze SDR's.
I'd be more than happy to take you out on a spin so you can hear it at highways speeds and at WOT.
It is louder to wagon owners. I think a test showed we get 3 more dbs or something like that into our cars over sedans..might have been 5 I can't remember. But there was a test so you should be able to search for the results.
The exhaust is louder than most but it doesn't bother me or any of my passengers...so far. And I drive A LOT. Talking 100 plus one way trips several times a week. I've got 47k on an 04 wagon. haa. You can carry on a conversation. Listen to the radio. I have a decent system, but regardless, if you're out cruising and you have your radio on even moderately loud you won't even notice the exhaust. Talking on cell phones is not an issue either. I've had people tell me they can hear it but that's at WOT.
The exhaust is very well built. There are some fitment issues. But if you'd like and I have the time I'd be happy to help you install it as I had help installing mine. But I will say I am insanely busy right now..moving, job searching. working on my other car.
I'd pick up some kartboy long hangers. I have someone looking into buying 2 of mine or I'd hook you up.
I'd also borrow a dremel from someone if you don't have one. You'll need it.
I run stock up/down pipes as well so in my car you'll be able to tell exactly what it would sound like on your car.

Alright, So I'm buying this exhaust, sorry to all those others who expressed interest.
OneManArmy, you volunteered helping install
If you are too busy I'm sure I could figure it out, and any info, suggestions, advice, or tips would be greatly appreciated. You mentioned I might need the cartboy long exhaust hangers, and some new gaskets.
I'm curious if other people using this exhaust have run into the need for new hangers as well, and where I might be able to aquire some new gaskets. I know I could just order the Hangers from SubyDude, but I'm attempting to avoid having to wait. Maybe I can get it installed this weekened
. So yeah, any advice, suggestions on what I might read, maybe pointing me in the direction of your own install.
Thanks for your help, and if you would like to try and get together either this weekend or next shoot me a pm. I am pleanty handy with tools etc, and have no fear of doing this myself, but company would be appreciated, besides, I'll pay for the six pack and could even just show up to your residence, should you be so inclined.
