I have a used 04 STi gutted downpipe (shorty dp, 12k). It was professional gutted w/o cutting. I made a bracket to fit on WRX tranny. Pick up in east bay.

Will this fit my 06 wrx? I also have a 3inch catback that fits the stock flange.

*I heard that shorty dp (not full) will not work with my 06* is that true?

 

I believe it's the same, maybe only the bracket that mounts to the tranny is a little different.
As for the fitments to the turbo and 2nd cat (06 WRX, 04+ STi) it should fit but please check.

This shorty oem dp will not work with 06 WRX. The 06 WRX downpipe isn't split the same way as the older WRX's. The length is the same, but when you unbolt it in half, instead of 50/50 it's more like 60/40, so the shorty won't work. Any other full length downpipe will work.
