sorry kids, but I'm gonna have to be a cheapy on this one.

water pump is leaking at the block, but it's looking more like the head gaskets are shot, and looking for an economical and quick fix. Can't be down long enough to rebuild what's in there now, and not looking for a built race engine, just something to get me to/from work daily (Although a stroker EJ is always tasty).

I'm east of Sacramento, in the foothills (El Dorado County)...but willing to drive a little to pick up a solid block.

sorry, i should have specified, I need a running long block.

can't really use a shortblock or something that needs rebuilding.
needs to be something I can slap in over a weekend, with minimal down time.

I have an '88 CRX project with tons of parts, I'd be willing to trade for a solid EJ205.

The '88 CRX is a DX with SI/VTEC wiring
would also come with a '91 Civic Si HB shell for parts.
Both have engines (D16 SOHC) and trans...could be used to make two streetable cars, or a track and street car.
Have spare trans and engine blocks, a WW RS 6-piece Body kit for the Hatchback (urethane Mugen replica), and two spare B18A/B longblocks ready to be built.

I was planning on making a track car out of the CRX...but I've come to realize that I don't have the time and would be willing to see the project go so I can get the WRX daily back road-worthy.
Just putting it out there just in case there is someone interested in a Honda track project in trade for an EJ205/7 engine.
