NEED to borrow a stock DP again!

I can't believe this! I need to borrow a stock downpipe again, even though I have one. So I go to swap my stock dp and everything is fine and dandy UNTIL i go screw on the o2 sensor. The stupid bung snapped right off! I guess it got too rusty! Well, I figure it would be faster for me to borrow one than for me to find time to get the bung welded back on, if it even works!

Please help a brother out, This is a 04 FXT, I think 02-07 stock dps should all fit, if I recall.

Thanks!

5 mins at a muffler shop. Save yourself a headache and just get it welded back on if the shop is willing to do it.

I keep hearing about people who's passed smog with aftermarket DP and exhaust. How do you manage to do it, because the place I went to, he took a flashlight and looked under the chasis and told me the whisper maddad V2 on the car wasn't stock so he told me to go home and change it. Which is why I'm in my current predicament.

Homie hookups and lenient shops. Which is very hard to come by.

+1. Getting turned away for a catback is horse****. All my subarus have passed visual with 3inch exhaust. There are plenty of shops willing to overlook the visual stuff.
I know several places up here that would pass you with a catted aftermarket pipe.

Most shops will fail you for aftermarket cat. Its the visual. Some smog techs are lazy and don't get the mirror out.

He didn't say cat back. Cat backs are completely smog legal. Turbo backs are where you run into the problem.

Thanks for the offers to borrow, MY friend offered to weld the bung back on for me, so I'm going to see when he's available, so hopefully, I won't have to trouble anyone here unless absolutely necessary. I've got another car to drive anyway. The reg expired last week but I've already paid for it, just need to pass smog to get the stickers.

PASSED! Thanks everyone for their offers of generosity. My friend was able to weld it back for me and after driving it for a few days, I brought the car in and passed.
