ya, so my friend with a 2.5rs wants to do the wrx swap, so im lookin for a 2002-2005 wrx. i dont want to deal with the immobilizer issue on the 06+ wrx's

so ya, if u have a totalled wrx for cheap that runs, let me know

what is going to cost more? the insurance or the total swap? i mean how much would his insurance go up? im only paying like $158 a month

Yeah... no point. Just keep the car as is. Saves gas, save yourself the hassle, save money. Spend it somewhere else.
