I'm in dire need of a single gold BBS STi wheel (stock wheel on the 07 STi, not the 5x100 one). It needs to be in good structural condition. I bent one of my wheels when I hit a GIANT pot hole on 101... I can still drive on it but it makes a whirring vibration from that wheel (back pass side). I have a spare but it's beat to hell and ONLY used as a spare.


I doubt anyone will sell me just one wheel, but damn, I'd appreciate it greatly!

 

Oh that sucks! I've seen them sell individually on ebay before. There is some on there right now with varied prices, "STi BBS" and you'll see them. It's at least an option if someone locally doesn't have one for you.

 

Thanks for the heads up... I'd LOVE to find someone local... Anyone know where they keep wrecked STi's? Perhaps I can find a single wheel that wasn't damaged in the wreck.... I don't want to have to go buy a new set of wheels for my car just cuz I damaged that one....

Not sure but I think you can also claim insurance on that if a pothole did damage to your car. You should also check your suspension, if the pothole did that to your rim I'd be a bit worried about the suspension. Insurance ends up hitting the city for it if I remember right.

 

Hmmmmm.... Will look into it, but would rather not go through them and would rather just pick up a wheel if someone has an extra.

Yeah, I thought about that but I hate NASIOC so much (well, Nick) that I refuse to post there, even if it did benefit me.

 

if you contact caltrans there have been people filing claims and I believe getting compensated for damage toward their cars. You just need to tell them when it was and where it was and I believe they due some sort of "investigation" and if it checks out they should pay you.

theres that place in modesto that sells wrecked subarus thats on "craigslist" all the time, there ad says sti, but makes no mention that they actually have one, maybe you can call them.
