Not really, 04-12 STI shifter are all the same, ONLY the pivot bushing had changed on the 08+. Most of the aftermarket shifter didn't follow the change on the pivot bushing size, they all use the same shifter for 04+, that's why TIC had made the correct size bushing for 08+ STI for the most of the aftermarket short shifter. In fact, they are just stock 5 speed wide pivot bushing!

Yup, I'm pretty sure that's the case. I installed couple of the TS and KB SS on 07, 09, 11 before. 07 is fine with the stock bushing in the TS shifter, 09 and 11 had smaller stock bushing for those shifter, ended up buying 5MT wide bushing for those two customers, so I guess Subaru decided to change the 08+ pivot bushing size as the same as the 5MT shifter.
