Smile Hyperflow V2 TMIC -- It's HUGE!!! Plus piping, etc....

SOLD!!!

I just bought this Hyperflow top mount intercooler from a friend to use in a build-up on my Legacy. It's slightly used, in great condition. A couple bent fins as would be expected (and by a couple, I seriously mean like 2.5 individual fins). The intercooler as a whole is just gorgeous . It's even clean on the inside.

Asking $650 Edit: Reduced to $625! for anybody local so I don't have to ship this beast. I was able to find a good price online from JSC Speed, which was $775 plus shipping costs ($15.55). $125 off (plus no tax, no shipping) of a good retail price is great, right?

From their site:
This Hyperflow top mount features bar and plate construction with measurements of 115 mm x 485 mm x 185mm (4.6 inches x 19.4 inches x 7.4 inches).

Features:
High flowing lightweight CNC machined billet end tanks carved from 6061-T6 aluminum.
Comes with high flowing cast aluminum turbo/intercooler plumbing
Any aftermarket blow off valve that is designed for the 01+ WRX will bolt straight on
Laser cut brackets to ensure a perfect fit
Comes highly polished
Largest top mounted intercooler on the market!!
Easy to fit, works with most strut braces
Requires some modification to fit on STi models
This thing will handle any sane turbo upgrade (core size is good for approx 540 hp). Anyway you guys know all about it so I'm gonna stop there.

Please e-mail me (JSiwek@scu.edu) and/or post here if you're interested. I forget to check PM's on here a lot (but I'll do my best)...

I'm in San Jose, btw, right by Santa Clara University. I go up to SF a lot though so I'd be happy to meet anywhere in between or elsewhere in the greater Bay Area...

On a side note: I'm only selling this because it wont fit on my Legacy . Because the front end is sleeker/more streamlined/flatter on the Legacy, the hood comes much closer to the top of the engine. The hood wouldn't shut with this I/C on. It wasn't close. I don't know why I even thought it would maybe fit, considering the stock top mount actually touches the hood in the back. I'm retarded. Guess I was being optimistic. Of course, it fits in a WRX with no problems. ....looks like I'll have to do a custom front mount or something.... great...

Edit for a couple pictures: I snapped away like crazy... let's see if they all fit in one upload. Couple notes: the stuff in the hose that comes off the turbo appears to be grease (to help it slide on), not oil. There's one good close-up of the bent fins... looks like a pebble hit. The inside pic hopefully shows that there isn't even any oil residue in here. The other uber close-up shows the pretty brushing on the aluminum end tanks . Other than those things, what you see is what you get. It could use a spit shine but other than that it's 99%... oh and I apologize for letting it touch the incredibly ugly carpeting that's in my apartment.

Bump.

I saw this intercooler in person. It's in pristine condition and Jeremy is a great seller/buyer. I'd pick it up. It's an absolute steal. Great for anybody that's looking to get a new turbo.

I think $650 is a sweet price, but if you've read this and had something else in mind I'm semi-open to offers. Just shoot me an e-mail or PM...

P.S. -- I would trade this for a JDM STI intercooler (with piping), plus hook me up with maybe $75 to $100 (or so, PM me) depending on the condition of your I/C. I'm pretty much positive that the JDM STI one will clear my hood since it's not much taller than stock, it's mainly just much wider side-2-side. This would be a good opportunity to upgrade into a much fatter/phatter intercooler

Found myself a JDM STI intercooler and I picked it up on Friday, so nevermind about the trade thing. I spent a solid hour with a pair of tweezers and a small nail straightening fins on the STI intercooler. If I were to straighten every 'tweaked' fin on the Hyperflow, it would take 2 minutes. The thing is seriously 99.5%.....

If you could see the sad looks Hyperflow is giving me because nobody has bought him, you would pick it up right away!!!
