I just bought a mother's headlight cleaning kit from the auto part's store for under $20. Actually worked really well on my bugeye, IMO I wouldn't pay more to have it done somewhere.
Sorry you are misinformed about the whole headlight assessment. There is a thread in the bay area region pertaining to headlight restoration where I have explained the situation. Any of those in store kits are only a temporary band aid and the defects will return as quickly as a month to several.

Same here, but it ENTIRELY depends on how BAD they are and that's why Pho mentioned inspecting them first. I had a pair that could not be corrected with any product or physical correction.
This should just be a sticky:

Also, can you please explain the "apply restoration solution, let haze, and wipe off" part? I do not completely understand how this step works? Im truly confused, I was not aware the wizards of detailing chemicals have conjured such wizardry.

Hey Drew what is the price on cleaning one headlight? One was new the other was old when i purchased my car. Also i had some crap on my car so i used a dang scrub pad for the dishes to remove the gunk now i have minor scrathces
and i used the quick wax works for bit but not as good as i thought
How much would it be to give a good cleaning? I would want to do it after the weather goes away.
