haha we are sorta hijacking this thread. I wont really have anything to compare my dyno numbers with because i haven't dynoed my car since putting the vf30, injectors, fp, and fmic on. But ill let you know how the car pulls with just the addition of the manifold to my car.

I'm just interested in what car he's trading up (or maybe down depending on the opinion) to. I got rid of my '02 wrx for an STi, are you doing the same?? It doesn't seem like it because some of these parts would still work on it.
Let me know what you're up to.
Cheers,
Joel

No I don't have pics of the cage. You can meet up and check it out if you want. And no, I am not trading in for an STi, I'd rather just get another VF34 if I wanted to go that route... Looking at an Evo, I can get a pretty good deal on one, so we'll see. Nothing is set in stone yet.

I thought (I'll be honest here) about an Evo seriously for about 30 minutes. But, the higher insurance costs (compared to the STi), the weaker tranny and tranfer case, questionable mistu build quality and looks made me get my STi. I still respect the hell out of them, and I know for now they have more potential, but I couldn't bring myself to get one.

Joel
p.s. get an insurance quote before you sign a contract on an EVO.

I have no qualms over the 4G63, as I was a DSM guy before I got into subarus, it's mainly the trannys that always pissed me off. That's why I liked my WRX, but I never loved it because I was always scared of the tranny, even though I babied it.

Yeah I see what you're saying... I've been looking at both cars pretty much since I got my WRX, because they both interested me. I have read quite a bit about both, and for the money I can get a new Evo for, I can't really not take it! They are notorious for the transfer case breaking, but I plan on driving it stock (motor wise) for a while, so I'll have warranty to worry about that for me. Good luck with your STi purchase!
