the "get my race seat out of my guest bedroom" thread

okay, i've got a Cobra Suzuka racing bucket seat that has been sitting in my guest bedroom. it cost over $800 new with the brackets, and i never even installed the damn thing. since my guest bedroom doesn't go to track days, and doesn't corner so well, there is no point in keeping the race seat in it. i've tried selling it, going as low as $400 for the seat including side brackets, and Speedware bases that were used for my Recaros, and could be adapted to work with the Cobra. so, its come to this:

What do i have to do to get rid of this seat?

i want it out of my guest bedroom before my girlfriend's cat decides that its a scratching post. so, if you've got a suggestion for getting it gone, i want to hear it. its been on eBay a couple times, Craigslist three or four times, i've listed it here a bunch of times, NASIOC, and SpecialStage.com. HELP ME GET RID OF THIS THING! i'm willing to entertain just about any offer that doesn't involve Llamas, time shares, real estate in the florida everglades, donating it to goodwill, or pyramid schemes. seriously.

got a surfboard you never use? lets trade.

got some old punk records on vinyl? i'll take those for it.

got a turn table sitting around in good condition? i'll take that.

know anyone who wants a race seat? tell 'em about it, and i'll give you $20 if they buy it.

hell, if i had a lawn i'd trade it for a year of lawn mowing service. get creative, i'm open to suggestions.

lol any why don't you install it in your car? If you can't sell it you might as well use it.

i just finished parting my car out, see the other threads in this forum for details. believe me, if i had a use for it, i'd use it. oh, and i'm *NOT* waiting for GT4 to come out so that i can build myself a little arcade style racing game setup, because then GT4 will never come out.

It's a black seat. You're about the same size as dropkick_muppet so you should be able to fit into it perfect. It's really a great seat.

Bump for a buddy.

I would say to wait for GT4, after all it is going to come out pretty soon *hopefully*. Either that or you can just use it for GT3

i figured it'd take about that long.

pm sent. thanks for the bumps and the humor. you're right too, no modding the new car -- which incidentally is sitting in my garage right now. no more WRX...
