Gauging Interest - Canon 7D, Two lenses, filters, 8gb
Hi I-Club,
I am gauging interest on my Canon 7D - I bought it the week it came out, but I haven't really had the time to use it to the extent that would justify the initial expense. I'd rather put the money into buying a motor/transmission for the 1969 nova that has been sitting in my parent's driveway for a few years.
I bought setup at Best Buy with a 4 year replacement plan (about a $350 value). In essence, if you break, drop, sit, whatever - they will replace it.
It includes:
- Canon 28-135mm lens
- Sigma 17-70mm F2.8
- UV Filter
- Polarizer
- 8gb card
SOLD

Soundwave,
According to Best Buy, the plan is fully transferable - If I am not mistaken, the premium plan, allows you free cleanings and such for the entire 4 years.
I am a little wary of selling the 7D by itself, since I'd have a helluva time selling the rest of the stuff by itself. However, if I did - I'd sell it for no less 1600 with warranty transferred and everything, or take everything (two lenses, cards and filters) for $2000. Either way, I feel that both prices are reasonable considering the light usage, paperwork and warranty.
Thanks for your interest.

Aside from the sensor cleaning that it performs when you turn off the camera it has not been cleaned. The camera has not been dropped nor is it malfunctioning in any manner, so it has not had any repairs or service performed on it.
I have taken about 3,000 photos - several of which were under rapid shooting conditions. Various forums rate the camera's MTBF for the 7D's shutter at 150,000 - essentially, if you put any weight into that measure, the camera has been used for approximately 2% of it's expected life.

Thanks - While I acknowledge that the camera is slightly more expensive than most 7D setups, I'm certain that the right buyer that can appreciate all the extras will pick this up.
