Yes you could retain your VF34 setup. You would not actually gain HP from the block itself but by fortifying the internals it allows the tuner to push the limits further and the bottom end becomes more reliable.

Personally, no GT50 just a GT30 or GT35. Maybe something twin scroll :RockOn - not mine:

Comes with stock rods, the stock rods are forged and usually is not a failing point of the stock bottom end.
