FS: v8 JDM Subaru Impreza WRX STi IHI VF37 Twin Scroll Turbo Setup

What's so cool about this? Aside maximizing power out of your flat four with equal length headers and dual inlets and dual wastegates, this is a *stock* piece, if not to the US. Unless the smog guy really knows what's up or you have a crazy tune, this can pass emissions and visual!

You will need to fab a 4" spacer from the end of the downpipe to your exhaust, at least USDM length ones. JDM exhaust of course would have no issues. Nothing a muffler shop can't do inside of half an hour for you if you have the flanges.

You also need an STi oil pan if you don't already to run the equal length headers.

Includes manifold, up pipe (never separated from the manifold), twin scroll turbo, downpipe (the turbo and it have a different flange shape altogether than single scroll), various brackets and heat shields (the turbo heat shield is a different shape than US).

Also comes with new gaskets (again, specific to the unique flange shape), including a pair of GrimmSpeed double thick block to manifold gaskets.

Set was taken off a JDM car at 60,000 km, about 40k miles.

Zero shaft play in the turbo.

Virtual high five to you good sir. Would love to keep this but can't justify it as the paperweight it is til I get another Subaru.

Someone, enjoy this unique piece of kit in my stead!

thought about posting this elsewhere? (say iwsti.com)?

just cause this would be great for someone with stock ex manifolds and turbo to upgrade to... :)

Lol, always fun to find out I'm selling to someone already kinda familiar. What's your fav flavor?

de_engineered 04-08-2016 11:27 AM

This is back up for sale. Come geddit kids. I'd love to run on my own car, if I had to put it on. Makes for a great daily setup in that it's quieter (equal length - right exhaust can uncork that if you like though), and is more efficient than stocker unequal lengths.

I have some other fun accessories for sale to make this that much better, including TGV deletes and phenolic spacers, Killer B parts, and silicone turbo inlet. Take this stuff off my hands, put it to good use.

Merci beaucoup!

One thing I wanted to experiment with was a quick spool valve, something Supra and diser truck guys have been playing with for years. I wanted to have a custom up pipe, with a 'mixing chamber' right before the turbo inlet flange, and a butterfly valve on one of the inlets.

The effect is like holding down a water hose to get more pressure out of it, then letting off once it builds enough.

Obviously didn't get a chance, but just something to think about.
