FS - SPT intake & heat shield
I want $185 for the intake & heat shield. It was used for approx 1,000 miles on my 2005 STi, selling it because there are other things I would rather buy...
Price does not include shipping, I would prefer a local sale in the Sacramento area.

I would rather sell as a set right now, I think the intake is useless without the heat shield. At lease I would not run one without the heat shield...

On edit, I was able to remove the CARB sticker and have placed it on a magnetic back. I would probably still use some double sided adhesive to attach it again, but at least I can include it with the sale...

me owning the SPT and not the K&N
personally these 2 compared....i would go with the SPT you hear the air being sucked in and know its doing its job, and you can for sure hear it through your shifts, the turbo spools up faster and i dont know if its a phycological(spelling) thing but i felt a little more power than stock, i read with the heatshield could add upto like 25-30HP, when you replace your stock air box leave the shroud and elbow so the air comes through the grill through the shroud into the elbow and shoots out at your intake filter...the heat shield helps to
just be sure to disconnect your battery, do the installation, then afterwards connect it, and let it run for a couple minutes let everything register

Hmm, you should hear a K&N, I felt it was pretty good sounding with the air being sucked in and stuff. I also felt the car was a bit faster, actually, after selling the intake and going back to stock, it's definitely more power, but i did my catback at the same time....but catback+intake definitely gives the car a noticable gain.
Anyways, when time comes to get an intake, I thikn i'll give SPT a try.
Bump for an awesome intake!
