Personally I think any street/dd car is perfectly fine with a good TMIC. Most guys going FMICs are doing it for looks. Theres a few guys on nasoic pushing major numbers with top mounts too.

If I was to do it all over again I'd run a Spearco top mount or similar. Having to sacrifice a bumper beam and the lag of a front mount isn't worth it to me on a street-car. Bump for a legit seller!

Yeah having owned almost every intercooler both fmic and tmic in the market for our cars I say get a TMIC for street use. I like the spearco tmic the best, heck I still have my old beat up one somewhere in my garage along with my OG long lasting oil cooled green.
They don't build fp green turbos like they used to.
Some people say lag is overrated but having a really big turbo with lag and dealing with the lack of throttle response from the fmic, you do miss that low end pull once in a while. Luckily I had friends that I upgraded their turbo like a 20g/TMIC to keep me sane back then.
The fmic core will be your bumper beam, but just a very expensive and unforgiving one.
Take it easy.

Ron
