FS: powder coated strut bodies for Koni inserts
Prepared struts from a 2004 WRX sedan. Will fit all 2002+ WRX Koni inserts. Have been professionally powder coated Koni yellow as indicated on Koni's website:
Have never been installed and are stilled wrapped in paper from the powder coater. I was planning on getting Koni inserts but am now considering other options.
This is a perfect option for those who don't have the tools to cut your own struts apart and want that factory finish of an OEM Koni strut. This will also work with 2004 STI cars as well according to IWSTI.com forums.
Thanks for your interest...I prefer local sales first and then I will consider shipping if that doesn't work out. I'm in San Jose, California.
SOLD!

For KONI Sport it is a Cadmium Yellow, the same colour as the Sport shock absorber and defined by the RAL code 10-21.

I am open to offers...the box of powder coat cost me about $20-25, the powdercoater charged me $125 to do the job, the used struts cost me $80 from a local, not to mention the dremel cutting wheels and my time to do it.
Whomever buys these: all you need to do is get the Koni inserts, bolt them in these housings, and install them on your car, plus you have your OEM stockers to go back to later on.

I have some info from NW OBS here on i-Club regarding wagon fitment:
I've read similar posts on NASIOC that it will bolt up, but like the guys who put STI struts on wagons there will be less negative camber than using wagon specific struts.
They would be usable for a wagon (that's what I drive). Just let the person know that the amount of neg camber in the front would be restricted some because of the wider track of the sedan struts.. I have camber plates, so that is a non-issue in my case.

They fit fine.
I ran spec C take off on my wagon. You can get plenty camber for a daily driver off the set up. Just get camber bolts for the rear and you should be able to run over -1 front and rear.
I was able to get -1 in the rear EASILY with the camber bolts in the rear. You can go up to around -2 I'm pretty sure and you can add a second camber bolt as well.
the fronts...if you want serious camber like -2 and -3 and what not...get some RCE camber plates.
I have MRT plates I'd be willing to part with for pretty cheap....I trade it for a rear sway bar or a cusco CF rear strut bar...or SPT intake....something like that.
I am thinking of running my spec C struts with Pink Wagon springs an I want to run RCE plates instead of the MRT plates so I don't need them.
good luck selling...those really are nice parts.

Man, that would've been more convenient than me shipping them to PA. Oh well...
I could probably make you a set if you wanted. I still have more powder coat. I think I have other colors too. Koni yellow, neon lime green, and sort of a pink magenta color (wonder if that's anything like Cherry Blossom STI pink...will have to verify the color later). You'd have to get me a core to cut up, but I'd be happy to help.

Throwing around the idea of coilovers now. Since I'm not totally serious about changing my suspension yet, I thought I'd sell the strut bodies I made until I figure out what I'm really going to do.
I should have a better plan around Christmas/New Years time...
