If you've got a problem with his asking price how about saying so in a more constructive way or via PM? After reading your comment I took a quick look around but couldn't find any used Perrin catbacks to compare his price too.
And yes, it appears that Perrin just dropped the price of these parts however, when he got his, it was over $900 so asking around half to start with is not way tooo pricey...
Are you even looking for one?

Well, Rat is right I did pay over $900 for this. The $500 is NOT firm! If you would like to make an offer please do so. No resonable offer will be refused. All so may be interested in a trade for stock wrx wheels for 02 plus some cash my way. Thanks

Read the directions.....
as for the price...it's really not that bad. It is not a cheap exhaust.
Cat back price JUST got dropped to $700. Until now the lowest I've ever seen it is $750. Most folks that have them right now like myself paid more like $900.
So asking $500 for one that has low mileage and is in say perfect shape isn't all that bad at all.
That's still $200 plus tax less than you're gonna pay new.
Shoot his is probably in twice as good a shape as mine and I would probably ask somewhere around $450.
