FS: Patriot Torqx M28 SSD - 256GB
Selling my Patriot Torqx M28 Solid State drive. It comes in original packaging with all mounting hardware for 2.5 or 3.5 inch installations and all documentation. This drive is SCREAMING fast. OSX boot time in my 13 MacBook Pro was ~9 seconds. Virtual Machine load times: XP - 7 seconds, Win7 - 10 seconds, Ubuntu 10.10 - 6 seconds. The only reason I am selling the drive is that I decided to sell my laptop and the purchaser did not want to pay extra for this SSD. It was used in the system for less than a month before I sold the computer.
Their loss (and mine) is your gain as this drive retails for $700 at Fry's (http://www.frys.com/product/6084588?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG) or anywhere from $600 to $800 from online retailers.
I am asking $500.
