Good Luck Wiggly, I would have bought it, but it wasn't for sale when someone did some graphics on your Jetta. I ended up with a STI. You have a Nice *** Wagon!

nice car.

Why on earth would you want an R32???? I was on the list for one of those before they got released at bob lewis. I bounced on it and bought my wagon.....best choice ever.

The R32's are great inside and drive nice but they're dogs. I KILLED one with a solo driver...me having 4 people in my car in the twisties... Brakes are nice though.

just wondering why you'd buy one of those when you could probably get an A3 for similar price. The price of the R32's is still too high if you ask me.

VW head I guess. I love them myself...just from a performance stance I wasn't impressed with the R32.

Haha.. R32's are definitely not dogs.

Oh, FYI a stock A3 3.2 weighs around 3750lbs. That's about 300lbs less than my old 4x4 Pathfinder. Not sure why you'd get an A3 if you had the money for an R32.

I've been waiting for the S3 FOREVER!!!! haaaa.

OK so saying its a dog is an overstatement..haa. It's actually a KILLER car. I just think it's overpriced and I'm a bit pissed off with VW right now.

I'm very glad I didn't get one.

Figure the quarter mile time is what.... .4 second faster than a stock wrx.....and the car costs $10,000 more. Much classier car though....that is why I said A3...if it's class you're after get an audi. If it's performance...stick with the subaru. If it's both...I guess the R32 is a good choice if you've got the coin....

the r32 isn't a super model on weight either....3256 lbs.

Oh...and the report I saw on the A3 said it was 3660???? Peanuts at that level..haa.

Seriously though...the r32 is a great car...I was just making a point that I wasn't overly impressed with it for what they were saying it was gonna be before they got released..... isn't the 07 exactly the same as an S3 haaaa.

Thread hi-jack in full effect...

Being glad that you got your car and that you didn't get another car is the best. That's how it should be.

Maybe I am a bad one to talk about this because I need MUUUUCH more than a car's price new + 1/4mile time to make judgement. A stock WRX should be just about as fast since it's lighter right?

Wow, I thought the R32 was heavier than that - nice! The weight I got for the A3 was from a road test where they were explaining why there was not much point in the 3.2L model - saying the added power is sopped up by the added weight. Yes, the S3 is wicked and awesome and should be here... Why it's not is silly and really dumb for Audi - it would sell like crazy.

Anyway, don't get me wrong - I am definitely not trying to make people think the R32 is da bestest... Just saying it's not a slow POS. Haha..

thread jackage....but hey it's keeping his thread up top...haaaa.

Honestly I haven't researched the A3..>I just know in years past the euro versions rip...one of my favorite cars. The u.s. version isn't all that great. I read up on it after this post and figured out the same stuff. Heavier engine actually hurts but to stupid americans it looks good because of the higher hp numbers. The euro version has the smaller turbo version and performs much better. Like the S3. I read that the 07 S3 is mechanically identical to the R32....why we'll never see a decent S3 if we get one at all..haaa. it's an either or thing over here. sucks.

So...consider me edumacated on the a3...haaaa. r32 much betta!

Still like my wagon more...my girlfriend has a golf...I freakin hate that thing and everything attached to it...and I used to be a HUGE vw head. Still am to a point.

Just cost to damn much. Base price is crazy then all their limited production stuff get $8000 mark ups...bullshiit.

Anyways. back to the wagon....killer car and a good deal.

haha, i completely understand what you guys are saying...i went driving in my wag tonight, and yeah, it's fun. i am a HUGE vw head, don't get me wrong (aircooled squareback and my mk2 jetta gli), but i'm also a subaru and toyota guy.

i've driven an R several times, and it really makes me happy...i dont know man, it's a huge trip. i should probably sleep on this...

thanks for being understanding guys, i know it probably pains some of you to see cars come and go along with people and faces, but regardless, i'll still show face at UCKK and what not
