FS: Magnaflow Full Ti Catback Exhaust ~10lbs!
#18
I can't believe no one has picked this up yet. I have the same one and I LOVE it! JIC made these for Magnaflow, they just never took off because they retailed for more than the JIC ones o_0. Great price for an excellent exhaust!
Oh and if anyone needs it to fit a 3" flat flange dp, just buy this: http://www.speedelement.com/index.ph...emart&Itemid=1 , cut the flange off the catback, cut 2 slits on the end of the pipe and t bolt clamp this adapter into the catback pipe. That's what I did and it works perfect. You just have to cut the titanium fast because as it heats up it just gets harder to cut.

I actually have a 3" -> 2.5" adapter that I will be including for those who have 3" downpipes. It's somewhere in my garage, but I'll find it, haha. I thought about your method in order to have a straight 3" exhaust, but the slight restriction wasn't noticeable.

I'm shocked this is still for sale. Its very rare and a very nice system. I owned one back in the day and back then they were very rare. I now own a JIC Ti system. Ti makes a great sound. Very different from anything else. Its about a 12 lbs system and once you put it on your car its very hard to go back to anything else. I traded mine for a APS 3.5 and searched for months to find another Ti system. I hated the APS system.
If you are on a stock header its not that loud. Even with a catless downpipe. You can install a silencer in the tip and its OEM quiet.
Good luck with the sale. I'd been all over it if I still needed one. And while you can't weld to it. I am sure this will work

But the bottleneck in the system really doesn't hurt much. And it also allows you to use the OEM downpipe donut to seal things up good.

This 3" adapter is designed for the XR-1 & Hush catback exhausts which have a slip-on downpipe connector. The 3" adapter simply slips into place and clamps down to replace the taper in these catbacks and convert them to full 3" exhausts.

Thanks! It's like you said, once I used this set up, I fell in love. I've had several exhausts in the past - Borla XR1, Hush, many Carbon Ti (favorite before this one), and this one trumps them all. Unfortunately I don't have the silencer anymore, but I'm sure a universal one would work. And you are correct, in conjunction with the silencer, it was very much OEM quiet...almost too quiet. It took awhile to get used to the loudness of the exhaust after my silencer shot out the back haha.
I'd love to keep this exhaust, but I don't see it working out too well on my 2.5RS. I know it's possible to run a 3" on an NA car, but I figure someone else can benefit from this exhaust, and I can benefit from a 2.25" Stromung ^^
