I was also looking at the vf42.....which might be better for my 2.5L and bolts up the same as the 37.

 

My tuner does open source (as are more local shops these days), and I have a an Open Port if you're interested in borrowing it. Brand new they are plenty cheap though, $89 iirc - compare that with even the used price of an Access Port.
