How do these compare to the V7, I've heard they are slightly wider.

But how much wider is the question?

 

Don't know never sat on V7. I think it's the US version that are wider.

 

the v8 seats feels more like the 02-03 wrx seats but with more grip by the leg area, and the v7's grip more by the waist area and leg area. i had both seats before and were both real good seats but v7 is def. a better all around seat. imo.

Is it true that the JDM rear bench folds down? if so, I would be interested for my 04 wagon.

werd..I had these in my STi and they kick major *** compared to the stock 04-05 STi seats. Mr. Simon took them off my hands when I sold my car

as for the JDM rear..there were a few jdm benchs that had a center passthough like the wrx has, none folded down though. Only wagon seats fold

 

shoulda got these v8s..iirc the v7s dont directly bolt into the 05 STi without swaping seat bases

hmm..i thought they sat rather high or something, perhaps it was the adjustable seat base or something
