Hey guys, I have a Helix TMIC for sale. I have had it in my garage for like 2 years. I installed it and it worked great and the night before my tune I did a boost leak check and found a TINY crack (like so small I can barely see it)between one of the ribs and the end part. As I recall I didn't even see it in as a leak on my boost leak test gauge but I could hear it when I pressurized the system a lot. Anyway, I think it could be fixed easily with a weld or JBweld or something but I already got tuned on my OEM TMIC and I don't have time to fix it. Comes with the y-pipe as well.
I attached a couple of pics and the zoomed in one shows where the crack is. The crack is so small there's no way I'm going to get a pic of it but you can see the area where it is.
Make an offer. (Note Subbiedood get the elbow if I separate)

This isn't true. The Helix TMIC has a "Helix" badge on a plate welded right on it. It is not an ebay TMIC and my understanding is it came from Gruppe-s back in the day when they were selling them.
Please don't spread wrong information if you don't know for sure what you are talking about.

oh man, I dunno. I guess it depends on the price. The only reason someone may buy the thing is for the elbow!
I did a little braizing on the small flange to match the collectors perfectly to the IC inlets to minimize flow restrictions. These two really go together well. Throw me some offers but I'm in no rush to sell it and wouldn't mind giving it a couple more weeks. Thanks for the interest, just the same!

Oh yeah, I should mention that I stole a hose clamp off of the elbow because I got a upper radiator hose leak (thanks for putting the upper hose in the path of the fan blades, Subaru) and needed to replace one of the OEM ones.
Of course I'll replace the missing clamp before sale if desired.

and ive owned 5 different versions.the core comes from t he same place css gets theres, the same place gruppe s got theres(re branded)and other ebay coolers come from.having had the time to place a css,125$ ebay unit, helix and aps side by side by side i can contest to the fact helix, css and ebay are all the same in quality and build specs.i can make a plate that says "super duper" and weld it to a core but that wont make it work any better.
Ya, that's fair and a good point. Everybody that makes them probably gets the cores and stuff from the same place (or might as well) so the real quality is in the welding of the peices together, paint, labels, etc. Example: I highly doubt APS makes thier own cores, etc. but they may do better welds and they are "APS" (aka, "super duper") so their TMICs are $1000. lol
I paid like over $300 for this used so I'm not really feeling like I got my money's worth.
Still, it isn't an ebay IC and maybe (hoping?) that Helix did a better job welding it up than "ebay". Of course visual confirmation of "quality" is subjective but it does have a crack so there you go.I'm just hoping for the right price someone might be able to find a use for it.
