This is out of my 04' STi. The oil has been religiously changed every 3K miles with motul synthetic (since 36K miles). The motor has 97K miles on it. This is the perfect block and crank (and possibly) rods for someone who wants to build their own shortblock. The motor is being pulled and replaced this week due to higher than normal leakdown numbers. Some have told me that these are pretty normal numbers on a higher mileage motor. This motor would only burn about .5 qt of oil between oil changes. I am replacing it because I am installing a 20g-xt turbo and E85 and my tuner didn't recommend it on this motor due to the leakdown numbers. Here are the compression and leakdown results:
Cylinder 1, 129 psi with 15% leakdown
Cylinder 2, 127 psi with 10% leakdown
Cylinder 3, 137 psi with 3% leakdown
Cylinder 4, 130 psi with 5% leakdown
