FS: EJ257 Built Shortblock with hairline crack on 3rd cyl wal, Needs to be re-sleeved

Just as the title says. Got a EJ257 Shortblock with Wiseco pistons, Manley Rods, ACL Race Bearings and an OEM Nitrated Crankshaft for sale. So price has been dropped to 1000 picked up. 3rd cylinder wall has a hairline crack, needs to be re-sleeved. The block is still useable though.

Also have 2.0 WRX Bare Heads up for sale as well. Asking $400 picked up. SOLD!

Thanks!

Has the engine been disassembled and inspected to see if the block or other parts are still usable?

No, nothing has been dissembled. However, Mike at GST confirmed it was a blown ringland. Everything else should still be intact and useable. Oil and coolant levels remained full.

It is the housing for the piston ring. Forged pistons do not suffer from this as much.

makes for loss of compression, excessive blow-by, and scuffed/scratched/damaged cylinder wall.
