We forgot everyone on this forum is about real race cars. Even though maybe 3% actually track their cars lol.

On a side note: cage is sold! =). Some lucky kid is gonna have a useless cage for his useless slammed Subaru that is ruined because it's not set up to racecar or rally car standards lolololol

Guess people forget that the cusco has SAVED a persons life as have other bolt in cages, but yeah its not legit if its not welded in.... And those bolt in NASA & SCCA approved autopower cages total waste of money and not safe...

A bolt in/weld in NASA & SCCA approved cage would be safe and not a waste of money. My comment was aimed at heedz comment about bolt in cages. NASA and SCCA wouldn't approve them if they were not good. The cusco is not approved by either but it still is functional and provides some safety just not as much as an AutoPower cage.

Ok I see what you mean. I honestly just love how the Cusco blue looks inside of subies. I would have always assumed the cusco met standards because well Idk why they wouldn't be since they are a pretty legit company.

There is a guy called Tony Collichio who owns TC Design Motorsports in Campbell (TC Design) which specialize in custom welded cages. I had a roll over hoop and rear structure built in my WRX for $1500.

This is the guy that most Bay Area racers recommend, my WRX was completed in 4 days and he can finish it in paint or wrinkle coat. He mainly does Porsche and BMW but he has done lots of imprezers too so knows what he is doing.

He is a serious builder who also fits seats, fire suppression systems, date acquisition etc

If you want to check mine out I can meet at the Fremont meet
