umm i think anyone who wants to do the conversion needs to buy the 05+ brackets that mount the console from what i have researched. im pretty sure i can find the part # if anyones interested.

geez well according to nasioc its pretty much ridiculously hard and not worth trying to change to auto climate control

not trying to separate just yet bro.
it's pretty easy. I believe all that's necessary is to swap the e-brake, install 2005+ brackets which mount the stereo, rearrange DCCD sensors, and the rest is pretty much plug and play. I remember seeing a how-to on IWSTI.com when i mocked up everything I DID NOT need to cut anything, it all fit my 04 STi pretty well.

anyone with a 02-04 WRX will need the entire HVAC box (requires dash removal) and wires. 02-04 WRX have all manual HVAC control switches/levers while 05+ WRX switched to automatic climate control so its all nice ****.
IIRC, the 04 STi has auto climate as well.
