how does the lens work? im just a starting photographer and i have a rebel xti. and how does it compare to original one that comes with the camera?

no zoom, so you have to move to crop the shot right, it's about the same as zoomed in as far as you can with the 18-55 kit lens. It opens to 1.4 so you have a much shallower depth of field (great for object photography) or low light. IMO, it's much more clear than the stock lens too.

 

So why aren't you replying to my post? An address would be good, so I can pick it up. Any chance you'd be going to a "meet" closer to Hayward? UCKK?
