Does the axle back mount to the mid pipe in a standard location for all exhaust systems? What I'm getting at is, can one use a different mid pipe with this, or cobb only?

I know it does not work with stock wrx mid pipe. Did not know whether it works with other mid pipes. I am sure a shop can cut a pipe for like $40 to go with it.
