What's the story on the wastegate crack? Also I heard "some" shaft wiggle/front to back sliding was normal, any idea on how much 'normal' is and/or how much yours may move?

The wastegate hairline crack is very common among vf-39's It not known to affect performance in most cases. I believe most people who run the vf-39 have a hairline crack. The shaft on this turbo is pretty solid. let me know if you want to look at it in person.
