FS in/around SF -- 2006 Saab 9-2x 2.5i
Hello, i-Clubbers -
My wife bought this car when we moved to Marin from SF to support her commute into SF. Since we are moving back to SF at the end of this month, we no longer have a need for a 2nd vehicle after that timeframe because she will likely take public transportation or her bicycle to work. This is literally the only reason we are selling the car - my wife loves it, and has stated she'll miss it. Those of you that aren't aware of the Saab 9-2x history, it's basically an Impreza chassis/drivetrain with an uprated interior and exterior. More info here.

This is an awesome vehicle in great shape. 99% of the miles on it are from highway use, most of which are spent at or below 60 mph because of the speed limit between our house and the GG bridge. It has the minor dents and scratches you'd expect from a car with 100k+ miles that gets driven daily in all conditions, and is often street parked. Our detailer quoted us $200 to remove everything via paintless dent removal, so I could probably take care of that if there is interest.
Asking price is $7,500 or best reasonable offer. That is approximately what we owe the bank for the vehicle. If this price offends or frustrates you, please consult KBB and NADA whereby you will discover its private party value is closer to $10k+ -- thanks!
There were only 1,832 9-2x produced in 2006, and of those there were only 469 non-turbo 5-speeds made. Couple that with the color, winter package, and leather interior and I'm guessing there are probably less than 200 of this exact car worldwide. Very interesting vehicle with lots of nice amenities, and the ease of maintenance inherent in a Subaru.
This is the 6th Subaru I have owned in the last 13 years. I did extensive research before buying this vehicle, and was elated to find one in such great condition. Conversely, I'm equally saddened that we are selling it. Please send me a PM or email if you should require further details or photos.
Thanks,
Walter
