FS: 8G iphone $150 OBO
This was actually my phone i sold to him to get the new 3g iphone.
Just an FYI for those who are on t-mobile and thinking about getting new 3g. Word on the street is they will only be available through at&t this time around. You will not beable to buy one from an apple store and then go home and activate it. To beable to purchase one at the 200dollar price tag you would need to buy it at an att store, and sign up for new service or extend your contract.
but for any t mobile users if you buy this phone i have the software to unlock it for t mobile, and to jail break it.

some info
"New customers and those eligible for an upgrade will be able to purchase the phone for $199 (8GB) or $299 (16GB), while "early upgraders" will have to shell out $399 or $499, all with a two year contract and $18 upgrade fee. They also mention a "no commitment" deal later on in the year of $599 and $699 respectively."

Plus the new 3G costs $10 more a month for the data plan, AND the 200 text messages isn't included on the plan, so you have to pay $5 more for that as well
and yes, you do you have to activate it in store when you purchase it. this is to prevent people from buying just the phone to sell it or to try to unlock it and use them with other carriers.
i'm sticking with my first gen iphone. the extra $10+$5 a month isn't worth the 3G when wifi hotspots work fine.
and check out the 3G coverage. it's not that great right now http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/
