FS: 2006 STi Cheap!

SOLD!

ok, my other project car is almost done so it's time to drum up some interest on the 2006 STi with a salvage title that I've been driving for the past few weeks. Car was salvaged due to collision but has, of course, been repaired. It runs perfect and looks good. The VIN is JF1GD70646L508078. I believe it hit a tree on the drivers side affecting the doors and rear quarter panel.

I've put on almost 2000 miles in the time I've had it with no problems at all. Currently has 24XXX miles.

The car currently has these mods on it:

- Stock STi struts with Pinks
- Helix down pipe (I just bought a stock DP so this may be gone soon)
- Spec C front lip (I think, that's what the receipt says)
- front Cusco sway bar
- Ipod Hookup
- amber matching Boost Gauge by prosport

If you're interested please come check it out and then make me a reasonable offer.

Not sure on the price for it. I'd love to trade but the last thing I need is another car unless it's easy for me to sell.

I've got this one, the BugSTi wagon swap (almost done and to be sold as well) and the 2000 RS coupe that I'm not sure what I'm doing with.

I want to sell them all and get a Forester and stick with it for awhile...

Thanks!

I doubt I'll be at Hamilton (too hot for me to do again, last year was brutal) so I can't show it there... in case anyone was thinking that... I'm just saying...

by calling your insurance company and saying.... do you care if a car is salvaged?

FYI AAA and Allstate don't care.

the main thing is, if you total a salvaged car, most ins companies will only give you low Blue book on it, which is why salvaged cars sell for so cheap

Flanders- There is no having to deal with it. I have the title right here. It's already gone through the inspections and all that. It's good to go.

ucbsti- For the price I'd sell this one for low blue book would be profitable... hmmm...

^^^I just checked KBB for "Fair" and it came out to $23170... damn... it won't give a price for "poor" so I'd guess closer to $20000 is what they'd mean.

This car has no mechanical issues at all. Runs great and looks good. And no, I'm not asking $20000 for it.

Rule of thumb to calculate salvage title sales is you take fair value and cut in half. And thats if it has been repaired. Goodluck!

I've heard that "rule of thumb" before and have never found it to be true for most late model cars, especially Subarus. Making that statement is like saying this car is only worth about $13,500.

These models (2006+) sell for 12-16K totaled before repair through the insurance auctions (if in repairable condition). 18K+ if repaired and even then only for a car that you haven't truly had a chance to carefully inspect. I watch these auctions all week long every week. Pretty much every late model Subaru fetches a high price. Every now and then one will slip through for less but usually for a reason.

This car here is worth at least 12K+ in parts and that's if you sell them for cheap.

I'm even surprised how much some other makes/models sell for totaled.
