If she would take this back with her it would be worth some yen. American cars go for stupid money here depending on what it is of course.

 

Yeah its kinda funny. They always want what we have for obnoxious amounts of money, like I saw a pedo van going for 1,000,000 Yen I was like HOLY ****. But we get the short end of the stick we cant have what Japan has

 

Yep...I recently saw some 80s POS buick station wagon for about 1mil Y which is like 13k!

 

Right?! Absurd.

 

For sure, I mentioned it to her already and she knows it, but she's going back for a family emergency and can't be bothered with importing it.

I still remember being in Shinjuku back in '99 (!) and seeing some dude with a punch perm and aloha shirt driving the most garish (then) current model Camaro down the street -- and SO MANY people were oohing and aahing.
I also remember people going bat**** over an old Corvette Stingray in Ikebukuro and flipping out over an old Dodge Viper convertible in Akasaka.
