What's up guys. I'm helping a friend sell his car. If you're interested or know anyone who's interested, please email tcstuff4sale@yahoo.com
The civic has the following:
B18 integra motor
Type-R head w/ LS bottom end
Greddy Profec B boost controller
direct port NOS kit w/ 10lbs bottle
solid deck(golden eagle)
Skunk2 valves and titanium retainers
3" titanium down pipe
Greddy turbo kit w/ skyline inter cooler
01-02 SI rims w/perelli Pzero's only 2000 mi
98integra GSR interior
auto meter boost and air/fuel
AEM stand alone fuel system
greddy exhaust system
MSD direct fire ignition
AEM fuel rail and AEM external fuel pump
B&M short shifter
Z-speed struts front and back
GAB rear bottom strut
HKS super Sequential blow-off valve
Flaws:
it has minor dents, has some scratches, no stereo, and not smog legal.
Listed below is the link to pictures of the car, including the minor dents:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tcstuf...sale/my_photos
(stereo not included has been sold)
The motor has 3500 miles & has never been blown. Instead of 1.8L, it is bored out to a 2.0L w/ 9:1 compression.
$8,000.00 OBO
Thank you.

This is California, does he have a valid smog certificate? It is the sellers responsiblity to obtain one, and can be held liable for any costs involved in the process of making the car smogable. One of the reasons it's best to sell a car bone stock, it cannot be sold as-is in California when it comes to smog.

B18's are the next best thing to the K series motors from what I know. The Type R stuff is brought over from APACand EMEA regions cause there is no type-R in the US.
It is also turbo charged + NOS = major front wheel drift power.

What does ITR mean? I have no idea what these numbers mean. Is it stats on the JDM imported vehicles?

I sold my integra which had a fully built motor and I made sure to write on the bill of sale that buyer is responsible for smog and any expenses associated with making the car pass smog.

No it doesn't lol
Even if the buyer signs a contract that says that, he can still come back and dick the seller, period. There is no way around it, the seller is liable for the smoging of the car, period, no ifs or buts about it.
Yes, you can do that contract, and the buyer MAY take care of it on their own. But they can also sign it, fail smog on their own, then come back and stick it to the owner. The contract was void from the start since its CA law that the seller is liable for it. A contract between two citizens does not over-ride the CVC

I love the paint on that thing(looks like House of Kolor Kameleon green to purple maybe cyan to purple, hard to tell) and it seems to be a pretty wicked ride, but getting around smog in CA has become more and more of a pain. He might be able to register it no-op then sell it to get around the smog bit, there has to be a way to sell it as race only with no risk of getting bitten in the **** with the smog bit, but as is with a plate and regsitered for street use there is a risk of it coming around and biting him if the buyer wants to be a pain, even with an as-is clause because there is no out for as-is in CA(I've done quite a bit of reading up on it since the last smog discussion on this board). The current VC states that under ALL circumstances it is the sellers responsibility to get the smog. PITA? Yes....

When I sold my car, it was a gross polluter and no where close to passing smog. I know that by law you have to present a smog certificate before the title can be transferred, but I did not have the money to fix the car. After addressing the problem with a supervisor at the DMV, he told me simply to put in writing, either on the bill of sale or a contract, that the buyer will take full responsibility for any expenses associated with enabling the car to pass smog.
