Oh...no that isn't what I meant. For some reason I was thinking that the width of the wheels would be a problem, as they are 1.5" wider than stock. I guess that is a rather poor assumption? I wonder if 255/40's would rub on a regular WRX...hmmm...thinking bout it....I am pretty sure it is a bad idea. That is like a full inch added to the outside extent of the wheel, and 2/3" added to the tire....you haven't put these on a regular WRX...have you?

An '04 STi *is* a regular WRX, bodywise. You can't expect sellers to have test-fit wheels on every model year of car (especially an '09) to ensure fitment; you may need a different tire, it depends on suspension, ride height, intended use, etc. Those are full-on track tires and that size may take a little work, but the wheel should fit with no issues with the right tire size.
Bump for a great seller and clean wheels.

I was under the impression that an '04 STI would have fender flares to accommodate a wider stance. I am not "expecting" the seller to test fit the wheels for me....Just asking if by chance he has ever lent them to a buddy with a regular WRX. Didn't mean to imply that he should test-fit wheels on every model year of car.

If I buy the wheels, anyone want the tires...for like....$100?? Is that too much? I don't know that it would be worth mounting them for the life you would get....but...you never know.

I'm in Reno, I'm a friend of LagnWagn's. I don't mount tires; I'd just be willing to get the tires on there removed before running the wheels down to Sacramento where arrangements can be made to get them to you.
