Any reason you went with CP pistons on a stock car? Why did the engine fail?

Short Story: 07 STi piston ring issue. My car was one of the many that experienced it.

This isn't my first built motor. I was running a 30r, fmic, all that good stuff back when I lived in Dallas. They didn't build my motor right. Had Ed rebuild it and immediately decided to part it out and put it back to stock.
