FS: '04-'07 WRX Wagon Swift springs, Group N front tophats

I bought these about 2 months ago and now switched to a different setup. Purchased here. Linear, 185 lb/in front, 162 lb/in rear in rates. Meant for a wagon, but I don't see why they wouldn't work on a sedan (sedan versions are progressive and would be less desirable to me). Couple of scratches, brand new otherwise. $270.

Also have 2 front Group N tophats, $80.

I wish I could sell my pink wagon springs and get these... just a little lower.

They are red. The rears are still on a set of struts, the fronts are off. I can take pictures when I get home.

These are nice springs. I've tried: Forester-specific Swifts, RCE Wagon springs, STi red Prodrives, USDM STi springs, USDM WRX wagon springs, and now JDM STi pinks. The wagon Swifts were comfortable and handled well, I liked them and Prodrives the most (running the pinks on a different strut now, not a fair comparison).

chimchimm5, you are running Ohlins with SPT Pinks. I just switched to Ohlins too. I was tempted to try the Swifts with them but decided to stay with the higher-rate spring, besides the Swifts are too low for my Forester. I haven't ran the SPTs, but they should be close to USDM STi springs -- the Swifts will be comfier with a tad more roll, but very controlled.

Wow you know what I have on my car?

Anyways, yes I'm sticking with my SPT pinks. I was looking at your Swifts for a friend.

But you're running this stuff on a Forrester? With the extra weight, do you feel that you car sinks lower than an Impreza would on those springs?

How do you like the Ohlins? And btw, what setting do you use with the JDM pinks? Or when you had USDM STI springs?

I was doing research on Ohlins and came across a bunch of your posts.

SPT Pinks should be great, they would be my choice for a daily driver in Bay Area. I ran USDM STi springs (same rates, tad lower in the back) and liked them -- I had Konis as my last struts.

XT weights same as the STi -- not too much extra weight, but you are right, the back is probably a tiny bit heavier than your wagon. Swift rears are so low that I did bottom them out a couple of times on really rough stuff with people in the back seat. Since I had Koni inserts in WRX sedan strut housings, my solution was to put the inserts in the Forester rear strut housings -- perches are .6" higher. I didn't bottom out after that. Swifts resulted in the car being low, but still reasonable for a daily driver.

I love the Ohlins so far, enjoy them more and more as I drive the car more. I haven't messed with the adjustments yet, they are on 10 front / 12 rear from full soft. These springs are the only ones I've tried with Ohlins, so no direct comparison to the USDM STi springs (I do have a set of those, though). Here's what the car looks like now with the JDM Pinks:

Anyways, you get me talking about suspension and I won't shut up. Bump.

bump for stan_t.

Nice Forrester, and I like the sti goldies on it... and with the the jdm pinks + ohlins you must surprise people: looks like a wagon, drives like a porsche. heh.

BTW, my buddy has the red Swifts (same as the one's forsale in this thread) on his WRX sedan + d-specs. It's an AWESOME combo that feels great on the street for DD. He also does rallyx and track days with me in that car and it works are great for that too.

For those who want to "lower a little, keep the stock comfort, yet get better handling" these springs are it.

Thank you. Adam from LIC had AGXs and wagon Swifts on his Forester -- if you've ever seen him on the track, you will know what these springs can do.

He's had them on the car for many years. Actually, he sold the car recently.

Springs are all boxed up, ready to go.
