What would happen when it's time to mount tires. Since its been painted at a body shop and not powdercoated, wouldn't the paint scratch off? the lip of the wheel as it's being mounted? Other than that, they look sweet.

That is one of the questions that came into mind when I had to decide to have the wheels powdercoated or painted. I got some valid information when I took the wheels to Qwicksilver in SF. They specialize in wheel repair, painting and powdercoating. The first thing they noticed about the wheels when I brought it in was how polished the lip was. At that moment, the guys at Qwicksilver told me powdercoating a nonabrasive surface (the lip) would have the same results as having them painted. It all comes down to how careful the tech is when they are mounting the tires. If the pry-bar has a plastic cover to protect the lip, it should be fine.
