FREE '95 1.8L engine/trans/etc from swap project
Just pulled my '95 Impreza 5spd AWD engine and trans. I have the 1.8L engine, 5spd AWD transmission, drive shaft, rear diff and rear axles only. Includes the radiator, fans, A/C compressor/condenser 176k miles and I drove the car yesterday. Only issues are that it has the normal ticking noises and when I took a video of it running it had a bad exhaust leak at the manifold. When we pulled the motor, the studs on the left side were loose so that is probably all the exhaust leak was. Engine, trans everything works great though the PS pump leaks. I owned this car back in '04-'05 and changed all the fluids, did a timing belt, etc. Then sold it and got it back in '09 to do the swap. When I got it back it seemed someone had filled the cooling system with DexCool (that red coolant for GM cars) and I flushed it but there is still a little red in there. Another flush and it should be fine since it's drained now. Trans is in good shape. I daily drove this car for about 3 months until early March and then parked it getting ready for the swap.
Also have the complete grey '95 dash, console, front/rear door cards (2dr coupe), upper grey interior plastics and great condition stock taillights. I will be putting together a 'for sale' for the more valuable things like taillights and '95 L cluster with a stock tach installed, but contact me if you are looking for something specific...
Says "FREE" for the driveline pieces but there is a "cost". The cost is that you arrange a time to pick it up, and actually come pick it up with no douchery. I have a cherry picker here so we can lift it into the back of a pickup truck.
At some point if I still have these parts, they will go to a metals recycler and that will be posted in here.
Email is the best way to get ahold of me!! My email is my username at gmail. Pics in a while...
EDIT: Engine is complete except for the alternator, which is gone.

The car is "swap ready" aka totally ripped apart! Now comes the research, laying out all the parts and such. Test fitting some of the '98 parts has me a little worried, but it will work out. Should be awesome... Sucky part is I am going to do some cleaning/prep work under the hood and that is going to slow it down a LOT. I could bolt the engine in tomorrow...

Right on and that was some GRUBBIN ADOBO!!!! Thanks for dinner.
Yeah after staring at it for a week and stuff thinking about it, it was time to just DO SOMETHING so yeah. There's no turning back now!
