Feeler: Cobb Catted TBE 02-07
I'm going to go back to stock exhaust to pass smog sooner or later and figured I might step it up to a catless DP afterward. The cobb TBE really works best as a full TBE because of the nature of the gaskets (I think it's called donut gasket?). As much as I would want to keep the catback section, it would make my DP shopping too difficult to have to work around the gasket limitations. Anyway, I'm considering selling this set up. It has been on my car a little less than a year, and seen only about 3-4k miles of driving -- there are no dents or scratches from scraping. I spent $1200 on this system so I figure $1000 would be a fair price.
I'm not trying to discourage your sale, but companies make adapters to connect a full 3 inch downpipe connect to a catback that uses the factory style 2.5 inch connection.

thats where your wrong... tbe is in the name itself turbo BACK exhaust meaning from the turbo and back. it doesnt matter if it is catted or catless. if it includes a downpipe catted or catless and a cat back then that would be considered a turbo back

dogcatfud: thanks for the intel; I'd rather do it the "right" way and have a DP and CB that match, although I'm sure this is very suitable alternative.
Samui: see xhengmanx's post. Regarding the ti-c, thanks for the offer but I'm not looking for such a loud cat back.
From what I have read (and have been told by a sales rep from rallysportdirect) I think I'm going to go with an Invidia g200 catback with a v2 or v3 catless DP. If anyone has either, or both of these items for sale or trade please speak up.

As of now I am thinking of keeping the Cobb catback -- I just can't wrap my head around the idea of having a big can back there. On the other hand I still am looking for a catless downpipe that will mate with the donut gasket, so if you have one of those, please speak up.
