750's won't be enough. 1000's will run fine but may experience some slight drivability issues on pump gas.

Hey Ed I think I read something about you tuning Audis? My friend wants to come down with me around the same time I get my car tuned and was curious what you could do for him with his Audi. =D

Negative. I used to mess around with VWs back in 2000 but haven't worked with them since. We have done some bolt-ons and such, but I don't currently have any software for custom tuning them.

Here is one of our bigger builds that we got to tune yesterday:

- 2007 STI
- EQ Tuning Stage 1 Shortblock
- EQ Tuning Stage 2 Heads with BC 272 Cams
- EQ Tuning Twin Scroll Kit (Headers, UP, DP, Dual Tial 38mm Wastegates, fittings, lines, etc)
- Garrett GT35r with ATP 1.06 a/r Divided Housing
- EQ Tuning Rotated FMIC Kit (Treadstone core, EQ Piping, Greddy RZ BOV)
- EQ Tuning Rotated Short Ram Intake
- EQ Tuning Baffled Catch Can
- EQ Air Pump Delete Plate
- Invidia 3" Catback
- Hallman MBC
- Dual Walbro Fuel Pumps
- DW1000cc Injectors
- Spec Stage 3 Clutch
- EQ Tuning Custom Tune using Cobb AP V2

This is a project we've been working on for quite some time. The customer got the engine broken in and we did the first full 91 Octane tune yesterday. The engine has about 900 miles on it, so we didn't push things too hard. This is the first car with our twin scroll setup that we've tuned so far and I'm very pleased with the results. We were seeing full boost (19.5psi) by 4300-4400RPM in 3rd gear and managed to get it up to 390whp at the low boost levels! While the boost threshold is very impressive for a turbo this size with cams, the transient response and low end drivability is simply amazing!

We did run into a MAF limitation and that is part of the reason boost was kept low. We have revised our MAF flanges since this build which significantly extends the range, but the customer will likely be going with a standalone in the future to take full advantage of the setup on race gas and to allow for a more accurate tune. With the MAF being near its limits, I was not able to extract as smooth of a curve as I'd like, but the car feels phenomenal on the road.

I started the tune on the dyno and got the car up to about 360whp keeping things very mild just to get everything set up. Then we took it out on the road and I ended up spending a good 2-3 hours on the road massaging AVCS and timing and ended up picking up an extra 30whp while keeping EGT's bellow 1500F! The end result was some of the most power I've seen out of a Subaru on 91 Octane with awesome response and a very mild tune.

Here is the road dyno chart:

And here is an underhood picture (sorry, crappy phone pic):

Thanks

Very nice results Ed! Now this really conviced me to go this route! Power can still be made on pump gas!

What's below 1500? The graph is from a 3rd gear pull, but remember that 3rd is significantly taller on the 07. In 4th gear we were seeing full boost by 4100
