I just put some factory painted side skits on and I have my old ones. I don't think it would be moral to actually make someone give me money in return for these, so I'm giving them away. They've got, um, issues. They fit on and all. But there's paint chips, its not the best paint job etc... but to they are white... for the most part

Anyhow if you want them come pick them up at my place. If I feel like I have a spare moment between moving, cleaning and getting married within the next 5 weeks I might take a pic and post it - but don't count on it. They're FREE! Come get them, if you don't like them throw them out or try to sell them, heh.

I already have a set but I have to take my car for paint from an accident so I could probably get them painted pretty cheap. Two sets are better than one. Specially the crap I drive in.....donuts in the snow. donuts in the dirt...haa.

wow the one side skirts you painted for me long ago never chipped on me once. you did a great job on them. sorry to hear they turned out so bad. but at least you got new ones.

 

I think they went bad because of jacking up the car. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong (or maybe I was doing nothing wrong) but when you place a jack between the notches at the tabs under the sideskirts, it eventually crushes the tab and then of course it torques the sideskirt. The emergency jack has that slot in its head and so doesn't crush anything. But when you use regular jack for normal people it crushes the tab

The paint we all bought was pretty good, and quite flexible. I think, though, even the factory ones I just installed would react the same under similar torture. I got the factory ones becuase I was able to get them for free from CHASE/Subaru Bucks.

So now, I only jack it up at the rear diff, the plate under the engine or the engine hooks. Now that I have the new skirts, the questions: where do I put the jackstands?

i put the jacks between the two notches as well. hope it doesnt crack my paint.
