Does the Work Emotion XD9 in 17X8.5 fit in MY02 WRX sedan with 235/45/17 tires? What you recommend?

Yes they will. +42 is the recommended offset for that size. You could probably go 245/45/17 also but you might need to roll your rear fenders.
