This would be a sweet upgrade. Is it the 15.1 or so ratio and is it a direct bolt onto 02-07?

Yes, 15:1. from what I understand you should be able to bolt into 02-07 impreza as well as Foresters.

Yeah, I bolted a 2007 STi subframe and associated into my 2004 FXT. It was a bit of work (quite a bit more than I anticipated), but it's all just nuts and bolts. The upgrade over the stock Forester rack made everything well worthwhile.

Yes 2005-2007 wrx AND STi share the same crossmember and rack. Same ratio etc.

Interested in the rack alone if you will sell it w/o tie rods and such.

Thanks Pigboat. I will let you know, but for now I am looking to keep it together and sell as a unit.

You sure about that? I thought 04/05 where different. 06 plus the same. Until recently then the STI got a rack upgrade again.

No, not 100% sure. But a lot of research online about this lead me to that conclusion. I have used a 2004 STi rack in a GC chassis and the only thing I needed was a u-joint adapter. And now I'm rocking the 07 STi crossmember and rack in my 2004 FXT which was a direct bolt in.

Other than that all I can say is my old 2006 wrx wagon has the same setup as my 2007 STi.
