Brand new 2006-2007 WRX Tranny Case

They sent me the wrong part, and there's a "20% restocking fee" so I'd rather sell this privately.

This is a new transmission case for all 2006-2007 WRX 5spd trannys made after 9/05.

New is about $510 from the stealership, make me an offer!

There are two different cases for the '06 WRX, and they sent the wrong one. Since it's a 'special order part' I can only get 80% of my money back.

Either I take it back and lose money or can sell it to someone for much less than Subaru does.

Okay wait... you're saying that THEY sent the wrong one... I'm assuming that the invoice is technically correct and the part listed is the part received... so... do you mean that THEY did the research and ordered the wrong one all together? THEY found the part number and cross checked it with the VIN and all that good stuff? If they did all that, it's THEIR fault and you shouldn't be punished for that. Sometimes you just have to fight for what's right. I'll be damned if I said I needed a TV with a remote, then they order me a TV without a remote and then have them charge me for returning it. Ya know?

Or do you really mean that YOU did the research, YOU picked the part number and they sent you the right part according to what YOU said you needed? Cause if that's the case... ya... that's your fault. Ya know?

I hope it works out for ya...

Hey, I STILL have this part! lol

It's been just sitting in storage along with all my other stuff for the last while. Figured I need to just get rid of it and bring this thread back from the dead. I'll take any offer (somewhat reasonable pls) but buyer has to pick it up. It's not heavy at all, just figured that I'll be losing a ton of moneys. Item is located right down the road from me in Delhi.

Just to clear it up... it was an online dealership and I just told the parts person that I need a new tranny case for my car and they ordered it for me. I didn't know there was a difference in the same model year until I recieved it. So technically.. I didnt put in my VIN number till afterwards and it was an expensive large special part so they wanted me to pay for shipping and dock 20% of $500 ($100) for the return. I guess I should have done that, but at the time I figured I'd sell it privately. "My loss, your gain!"
