What other exhausts have you had that you can compare the volume to? I'm running the COBB right now and am thinking of going with something louder. Is it?

I have had, 5Zigen Fireball minus resonator, not too loud JiC 505 SS Bullet non resonated pretty loud but not crazy. Apex-i N1 not loud, keep in mind that those 3 systems were ran with stock dp. Borla has only been ran with catless dp which was awesome loud, then a gruppe-s header UL made it more civil. So if you want louder then the COBB I would step up to this setup 3" no resonator and when turo kicks in it can scream!!!

So the axle-back pipe and muffler are flat black but the tip is still polished, right?

The more I think about it the more I want it....sigh

Yes, the axle back portion from where the 2 pieces ie the mid pipe and axle back forward to the tip area is painted flat black. I even went as far as trying to mimick the RS*R's design and painted a small portion of the tip that potrudes out of the muffler itself.

Due to the APR Rear Diffuser it is really hard to see all that I actually accomplished when I painted the axleback

As of now there are 4 different people that are interested in the cat back. So yeah, first to make up their minds and come through with the cash gets to take it home with them.
