how much does it lower it and what struts would you recommend to compliment them? Would these be similar to prodrives or STi pinks?

If you're looking to upgrade your struts, Koni Sport Struts are nice.

The Prodrives lower the 02-03' WRX 20mm frt and Rr.
The STI pink springs lower the 02-03' WRX 25mm frt and Rr.
I would recommend you going with Koni Sport Struts.
