This TMIC was one of the earlier versions where the brackets didn't line up well. I was still able to install the part but I needed to modify or create my own brackets.

These parts came off my 04 STi. I no longer have the car so obviously have no need for these parts.

 

Was your APS TBE w/ high flow cat louder or quieter than a Cobb catted TBE?

 

I don't know what a Cobb sounds like.

Here's a sound clip of the TBE on a WRX. I don't believe this one has the hi-flow cat. It sounds a touch louder than mine but it's gives you an idea of what the APS sounds like. The good part about the exhaust is that it doesn't sound loud inside the car or drone on the freeway.

I guess a specific question I have would be: Was it loud enough to attract attention from law enforcement?

 

I've never been pulled over for a having a loud exhaust but I tend to drive like a grandma. Is it a quiet exhaust? No. Will it pass the noise test? Yes.

The exhaust is the R1 model w/ cat and it rates at 93db. US requirements is 95 db or less. In the link below, scroll down to the bottom and it shows how the exhaust was tested.
